Welcome and cograts on the new bike. Give the mids more time. I agree with going with the highway pegs versus forwards, at least will give you time before you spend on the forwards.

Nice bike. I like the feel of the mid controls but then i'm only 5'8 :P

Nice!! I too prefer the Mid's and Highway pegs with the in town driving that I do.

Congrats. I traded in my 883 (w/forwards) and got an 09FXDC (w/forwards). I slightly waivered on sticking w/the forwards but am 100% glad I did. Enjoy...

Congrats on the new ride you will love it. As far as mods go. So far foward controls, grips, pegs, rush slip ons and more chrome. The mods never stop just get put on hold for a short time. .
