Default Slip-On options?
I have the V&H for my bike (see sig) but I don't like the sound. I want something a bit deeper (if that is the right term). Or, should I look to replace the entire exhaust (headers, etc)?

Which baffles do you have in there? Many people hear are going to reccomend big city thunder baffles,though I've never heard them myself

I got some Rineharts and really like 'em alot. They were exactly what I wanted for sound. There's a late model Street Bob on youtube that will gives a good demo if you want to check them out.

+2 on the Rineharts. Worth every penny. I also agree with the suggestion about looking into the Big City Thunder baffles. This would be a cheaper alternative. Check them out youtube.

on my 02 dyna low rider, i had rinehart slip ons, and they were sweet sounding. then got an 07 streetbob, liked the rineharts so well that i bought a pair for it too. rineharts rock. currently running a pair of rinehart slip ons on my 08 streetglide. and wouldn't consider going to anything else. they work great, ya know, with the sound that almost touches your soul. mellow, deep, but they bark when you yank the chain.

I have heard the BCT baffles in the same VH Shortshots that I have and there is a big diff in sound and throttle response.

You could also try the V&H quiet baffles. Takes away the harsh sound and makes it deeper. Cheaper than a new system, but I know the "right" sound is a very subjective thing.

I have Rush slip-ons on my FXDC with 2.25" baffles and I love 'em. i think they sound deep, but pretty loud too.

I liked the rush with 2,0 baffles,,,but like said in post 2 try the bct baffles,i put them in my longs and 100% better than what came with my pipes!
