Ticket :-(
was stop today with my fat bob and i almost got a ticket... i still have my stock
exhaust but a friend has sreaming eagle on his fatbob and my bike are as loud as his
without doing nothing to them.the cop said that they were loud and they had been modified and saw the rivet.i was nice and explain and he let me go.......they dont know nothing....i am thinking keeping my stock pipes so i dont get ticket...154 a exhaust ticket....

Here in Ohio - the state highway patrol will stick rods down your pipes to see if they've got the baffles or not. From what I understand, as long as there's some in there, you're ok. I've got pretty loud pipes & am waiting for my turn...I suppose any cop could hit you for noise ordinance or disturbing the peace if they wanted...but fortunately, unless you're really gettin' nuts or being an ***, they don't bother ya much around here for that kinda stuff.

Where were you riding fatbob? Sounds like he wanted to provoke you. That is why you have to keep your stock mufflers ready to put back! You get a ticket youcontest. You have lots of time to get home and change pipes before court . That's why I still have my stockers unmodified. Besides I have been riding and passing cops all the time and they don't even look, maybe you caught one who had a sh!tty day.
