Default Help installing new air cleaner

I am just in the process of installing my new air cleaner. The instructions don't say what to do with the electrical connector that plugs into the stock backing plate. Do I just tape up th connector and tie wrap it up out of the way?

Thanks
b

I believe that is the plugin for the non-US, active intake system.... or something like that. Yup, just tie it up out of the way.

I've been told that the plug is a dianostic connector. You can take what it plugs into off the stock air box and tuck the plug back in next to the thottle body.

The 'diagnostic' connector, is the serial communications connector behind the left side electrical panel cover. (opposite of battery cover on the right)
