Have a 2008 FXD35I with the 8 degree injectors and 5800 miles. Ran fine until about 200 miles ago and now I am experiencing surging and a warm/hot start problem. I looked over several old threads on this topic and cold starts seemed to be problematic with the 8s. Mine fires right up after about 2 revolutions when cold, but is taking 6-8 now when hot (whereas before it would fire up after about 2 or so). Any thoughts and I wonder if H-D would still replace mine (warranty ran out over 1.5 years ago). Thanks.

think you mean 2006 FXD35I. There was a TSB on those 8 deg injectors. I can't say they will cover it but you can try some dealers to see if they will cover it. The problems you mention are why they changed them mid year.
