I met up with Tide on his through SC. Very cool dude. I rode with him part of the way to Charlotte and then split off heading east towards home. I would have ridden into Charlotte but I don't ride with a helmet so I couldn't cross the state line.

I will be posting pictures on myspace soon.
My only issues were a blown signal bulb, and I broke the bolt holding the sissybar pad to the bracket. "I swung my leg over forgetting about my luggage."
And best of all......Only 2 miles of rain out of 2995 miles total.

Pleasure was all mine. Sorry Hooters was a bit lacking that day. Should have been named "the midwest'. No mountains, just flat plains. 
Anyway, very glad you made it back safe and sound. I bet I missed you by a few hours on 77. Ended up in Mooresville yesterday and rode home today.
