Dental floss or fishing line and some rubbing alcohol to soften the glue. Take your time it will come off.

Removed letter openers from wifes denim black Fat Bob. Hair drier loosened them, pulled them off and used goo be gone to remove residue. Then a finishing touch lightly rubbing with rubbing compond. Harley gloss or windex will remove any rubbing compound residue left behind.

ok guys look, enough with the fishing line, I followed that example, now my paint around my emblems has ridges that wont come off, im fumed everytime i see someone suggest fishing line.
Hey, I used, a heat gun, on low setting, and a plastic spatula, came off in seconds, and if you have glue residue.
use mother natures best glue remover... " your thumb"
or a trusty bottle of goo be gone.

fishing line, sheesshh.
