All I can say is, WOW! Took it for a test ride. The ride is just unreal. Like night and day compared to the '00 Sporty. Smooth, really smooth. I wasn't real impressed with the power and torque. Mid-high end was okay but low end couldn't hold a candle to my Sporty. The mid controls are absolute junk, I can't people actually ride with these. IF, it had forward controls, I don't think I would have blinked on bringing it home but.... I know get a set, right? Yeah, that and on top of the SE slip on's, high flow AF and download + the $16 G's for the bike. The guy was big enough to offer 10% off of parts, whooeee, I about fell over from that great deal.[sm=bs.gif] Going to take my time and look around. Timmer
The mid mounts do totally suck. I fold em up and shift and brake with heel.
It doesn't really bother me, I'm diggin the ride too much.
Forward controls to come.
You should first click the "B" button. That will take the Bold font off all your posts. Then, you should definetly not pay that much for the bike. I'd want the frieght and set-up costs off it at a minimum.
Good thinkin' Rauzer but did you ever think that I meant for it to be that way! Your batting 0 %, see 1st post, shipping and setup are already off the price! Next?
I have mid controls on my LR and love them. Being stretched out hurts my back after 50 miles. Don't know why but it does. Mid controls feel better and I can ride a lot further without stopping.
I'm 6'2" and those mid mounts are totally worthless. When I put my feet down those pegs are right
where my legs need to be. I tried really. I thought it would be good to have someplace to move to
but, not for roundeye.
KB, did you get your download completed? Big difference? I called Signature HD over in Portage, they too have a Red Pearl but aren't budging on anything. I realize it's the wrong time of the year to buy a new scoot. It's buy now at this price or snooze and you loose type attitude. Funny thing about the salesman @ Warren, dude didn't even ask me for my phone #. The old analogy of buy it or someone else will is true. He did offer me a pretty fair trade in price on my Sporty, so it's either make up my mind now or wait till fall. Timmer
Not bad. I'd have them extend the warranty at no exra cost since it was a demo ride. If they don't like it, go somewhere else. Ya never know how it was ridden before you saw it. Personally, I beat the heck out of demos when I ride one.
