Hi all! Im new to the forum. I have an 09 fatbob with 1,500 miles. Around 900 miles or so i started noticing a shudder/clunking feeling in the forward controls (pegs) when using the rear brake to slow down. I can also feel this sometimes on washboard roads, the bumps of them will cause it without the brake even on.. It even worse when going down a bumping hill with the rear brake on. I asked about it on my 1,000 mile service and they couldnt feel anything abnormal..
I checked the front and rear motor mount tightness and they were pretty good.. out of ideas.. It doesnt do it all the time.. it seems like it does it the first couple stop after the engine has been started then goes aways for a bit.. I put 40lbs of air in the rear tire and it has helped some its seems..
Welcome to the forum & the Dyna family.
I traded in my 08 Nightster this spring it kinda did the same thing. The dealership called me on my way home with my new bike & ask if I ever had the swingarm off I said never a reason why.
They said it road like **** with all the shimmy in the back so they pulled the wheel and found the swingarm bushing was trashed .
This was fixed & paid for by M.O company still only a year old bike ya might look into this idea if nothing else works out.
