As well he should be scared out of his mind. With a bike looking as sick as yours..... I'd be terrified too. As for a Street Glide goes, it's got lots more storage options, nice big front fairing to help block the wind, being able to listen to tunes....all the stuff you would want for those long distance trips. Also heavier and not as agile as your Low Rider is now. If my Hubby wasn't in love with his FLSTC, he would have purchased a Street Glide. Question.....are you really ready to give up your Low Rider and it's personality and looks......for another "run of the mill" looking Street Glide?
The grass is always greener....., man I wish I hadn't sold my....God I miss the handling of my....Think about it long and hard! A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Geez
I'm going to be getting a Road Glide soon. BUT.... Keeping my Super Glide too. Can't part with it. Fast and handles great... The bagger is slow and handles like and aircraft carrier but better for multi-state trips. AND... When I get the bagger I can FINALLY put the solo set on the Dyna!
Jake.. as a owner of a Street Bob and a Night Train and a couple Old Rigid Pan and Trouble heads and Sporsters.... My street Glide handles much better in Parking Lots and at slow speed than any of the others ... Check out most State & County Police, Kenna Temple, Rodeo Riders, Theres a reason they chose the FL, Balance and Rake. And my 08 SG can dust my SB and the Train.. Good Luck..Skip. Hackenbush (WingNut Lost my Password ) and you remember the Other Old Name..LOL Best of Luck and stay safe ..
I hear rumor of a guy that had this sweet Ironhead sporty that was black with green flames. Still wished he had it.....might talk to him and see if he thinks you'll regret it.

I bet that would be a whole different story if it were his and not dads.

I would think that most State and County Police use baggers for storage. And as far as a street glide dusting a street bob I don't think so. If your talking about straight away speed.
Street Bob curb weight=634 pounds
Street Glide =773 pounds
Both with the 96" motor? Don't think so when the geezer glide is pulling another 139 pounds with the same motor.
Hey XSquid......
Better get that Road Glide soon, since they've been DISCONTINUED for model year 2010.....and the selection of new ones already on dealers lots are mighty slim.
