Hey XSquid......
Better get that Road Glide soon, since they've been DISCONTINUED for model year 2010.....and the selection of new ones already on dealers lots are mighty slim.
Yeah.... And the other part of that rumor is they are going to rename it as the Tour Glide. Same bike, just adding the tour-pak from the factory and all the other goodies then bumping the price. BUT... it's all rumors. HD doesn't put out the definitive word until the show in Denver coming here in a month or so. But I have heard from several people I know (two who happen to own dealerships) that they are in fact ending the road glide. ??? Who knows.. For years the "liquid cooled" rumor has run amok as well. I'll throw the dice and wait for the 2010 model. CVO Road Glide is their best selling CVO model... Why end it?
I have a friend that I ride with had a dyna, now rides street glide. He loves his bike, but he told me that he misses his dyna more. glide is comfortable, but not that exciting. dyna has the raw power and the looks. it would be best to have both the glide and the dyna.
If you can, buy the Street glide through the exchange while you are overseas. Saves you some cash. Keep the Dyna, then you will have the best of both... That is my plan in a year and a half.

All of our vehicles are paid for and I hate even thinking about a payment on a vehicle.

I Know what you mean about payments. Right now I am only paying on the wifes car, one more year. I want to be as debt free as I can when I retire from the Army. But if all I have is a bike payment then I will suck that up as my retirement present.
I tested an 09 Street Glide and absolutely loved that sucker! My Dyna is paid for and gets me where I'm going. I like it in a different way (lighter - faster).
