Default Engine light on a 07 FXD

When I start the bike the the engine light is on then shuts off, then a few seconds later comes back on for 5 seconds then shuts back off. It just seemed to start doing this the other day, once the bike is running after this it never comes back on, the bike seems to be running fine showing no symtoms of any problems, just came back from doing about 200 miles today and it ran fine, other than the light coming back on after starting then shutting back off. Any ideas?? I think it my be a engine code? I found a post on how to read and am going out to check in a couple of minutes. It is a 07 FXD with a PC-V, SE air cleaner, Vance and Hines Pro Pipe.

I went back out to the garage and pulled the codes, the only code there was U1097

I looked it up and its is the following:
U1064 Loss of TSM/TSSM Serial Data Carb
U1064 Loss of TSM/TSSM Serial Data EFI
U1064 Loss of TSM/TSSM Serial Data Instruments
U1097 Loss of Speedometer Serial data Carb
U1097 Loss of Speedometer Serial data EFI
U1097 Loss of Speedometer Serial data TSM/TSSM
U1255 Missing Message at Speedometer EFI
U1255 Serial Data Error/Missing Message EFI
U1255 Serial Data Error/Missing Message Instruments
U1255 Serial Data Error/Missing Message TSM/TSSM
U1300 Serial Data Low Carb

Anyone know what this mean?? I reset the code and started it back up and its normal now, going to go for a short ride and see if it comes back.

Check your connections under your seat, to your speedo.

There is a connection for the speedo under the seat? I will have to check, I cleared the code and went for a short ride and the code has not come back.

well sort of.... I meant check your main connections under your seat, but also check the connections of said wire bundle up to and including your speedo. Since the error did not come back, you may have an intermittent....

.... didn't just wash the bike did ya?

I will pop the seat off tomorrow and check the connectors, I think I zip tied the ECM connector to the PC-V, so I don't think its that, but I'm off from work tomorrow and I will check them, right now I got some beer to drink
