The one thing you need to take away from this particular experience, is going and getting the dealer's advice, or 'okay'.... is not doing your homework.
There is way more knowledge of what will fit and what won't, or what it will take to make it fit - right here. I am sorry you screwed up a trim ring.... but it's just a trim ring.
.... and if the dealer told you it would fit, and it doesn't.... they should replace it.. not you.

I'm my experience , dealerships are not the end-all for information. i would not be asking them very much. as you gain knowledge, from this 4m, go back into the dealership and you will realize just how much they really don't know. sorry about your trim ring, i would go back in and stand the dude, that said it would fit, up against a wall until he figured out how to fix the problem he helped create

Sorry, guys I'm not pissed at you guys all it is frustration on this I want to keep the bike clean and not looking like crap man so sorry to everyone on here.You all have been helpful with all my ?'s So Thank You! I have been cooling down from this issue The more I look @ it, it could've been alot worse.I did go back and talked to them and they will order me a new ring.
