Default Dyna handlebar delima

My dyna has 9" apes and I want to change them out dont really like the looks. I have new braided cables and dont want to change them. If I go with T-bars I wont have a way to mount my stock speedo, any suggestions? If i go with an 8" riser I feel the bars may be to far away from me, but I would be able to use my mounts, I think. I dont want to spend a lot of money to convert any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to mount your speedo on T bars depending on what kind you get. Might have to lenghten your wiring but that should be it.

My speedo has a light bar underneath for oil and lights and mounts with two screws to the riser clamp. The T-bars have no riser. I think the cable length should be close because the work with 9" apes.

You can get a Accutronix mount to go on the T-Bars then your speedo housing mounts to it.

A couple guys on here also used some cable clamps to mount the speedo to T- bars as well.

I used cable clamps to mount my tach to my risers.

Yikes the accutronics look good but kinda pricey. I thought after the last post by cable length you were referring to speedocable and yes that might be a problem with 8" t-bars. I saw some earleier that mounted to the t-bars below the handlebar, but not sure if bars would block the gauge. I dont know how to post pics yet cause I dont have a URL# and dont think I can post from browser. There is a small pic in my profile. Man those apes are looking better all the time...just not what I want.

Or you can get some 9" risers with pullback. That's what I got on my bike.
