Hey guys, I've bled the brakes and I'm not sure if I did it correctly.
I attached the hose, bled the line to where there are no air bubbles in the hose and tightened the bleeder valve. My concern is that with the valve closed, when I depress the lever I still get a couple small bubbles in the reservoir. Is this normal? The manual says there should be bubbles in the reservoir.
Are we talking front or rear? DOT 5 or 4? DOT 5 tends to keep buubles more so than 4 and they tend to rise back up, if this is your front brakes you may see that for a while. As long as the brakes are not spongy you should be good to go.
Dot 4, front brake. I think I may have figured it out. Its not actually air bubbles coming through the reservoir, its fluid 'breaking the surface'. So I am assuming this is normal, because I had no air bubbles in the bleed tube.

Yes, that is normal. As long as the brake lever does not feel spongy and the reservoir is full, you should be fine.

I had difficulty bleeding mine when I added a chrome master a few weeks ago. I'd get a few tiny bubbles from the outermost hole in the plunger tube as I'd squeeze the lever. Once I was fully bled, I just got the stream of fluid that would gush up as you describe...sounds like you're good to go.
