I have a brand new black one sitting at the house picked it up the day I bought my new Fat Bob but never installed it. I have been thinking of mounting it up I may give it a shot this weekend thanks for posting the pictures.

 

That is the reason I am not a huge fan of it and can see why so many rather not have them on.

I actually have the same 09 FXDC color scheme as you. I like my guard as well. I'm chrome like yours, but the OP's black both disappears and stands out depending on the angle you're looking at it. With bags, that one would be a good transition..

The same thing happens to me.

 

Don't like it at all, those belong on dressers.
