I like the Short Shots....I think they look good on my bike. I just wish they weren't crap for making power.
I completely agree with you, which is why I'm in the process of designing a 2-1 system out of the short shots on my bike. Want to be able to use the heat shields, exhaust mount and head pipes. Found an exhaust shop that is going to fab me a 2-1 collector and chop off just before the head pipes go into the muffler body. Then extend the pipes to where they are even. Going to be a fun project!!!!

I love my short shots. I installed them with mid controls but my bike now has forward controls. The biggest issue I had with the mids was my boot would melt on the pipe because of my foot location.

I think the short shots look good too, but the big shots IMO look even better.
the short shots while they dont sound horrible, there are a lot of other pipes that sound a hell of a lot better out there.
My Uncle has Vance & Hines monster duals on his '14 street glide and it puts the short shot's sound to shame. His bike sounds great, nice and deep rumble a rumble that you can literally feel in your chest and feet from the ground. His bike sounds thunderous coming down the road. While my short shots just sound like a raspy old trailer park truck with straight pipes, they're just loud with no real pleasant sound or deep growl. When funds allow I'm going to a 2-1.
