I ordered a set of metzeler 880s that should be here tomorrow. I went with a 150 and 200. Should have them on the bike tuesday. Should have a verdict shortly.

Well I got the tires on and they look great. They ride well but cant really pass judgement on the ride without a bunch more saddle time. I leave saturday for five weeks on the bike so should have a good idea pretty quickly. The 200 and 150 fit no problem at all.

Ok, tons of test time (I put 9300 miles on since the last post) in every possible condition. I love them, great grip, smooth, corner perfectly and no flats. The only place they let me down was the rear only lasted 7200miles before it was toasted. I really was expecting more mileage out of it. Maybe I just had unrealistic hopes for longevity but overall I would recommend them.

Well from what I hear the av's and metz's are great for grip, you don't save much money,if any, and they wear faster than the stockers.
However I am getting near the end of my second set with almost 20000 miles.first set was changed at 10,000 , so if someone knows the price/wearability of the michelins I'd like to know that!

I got my best mileage out of the stock Dunlops with about 8000 miles on the rear. I tried the metzler 880 and at about 5000 miles had to change tire. Both the dunlop and the metzler were spendy tires. I then decided to try a Bridgestone and this tire was every bit as good as the metzler but about 100 bucks cheaper in cost. I'm getting a new one today at 125.00 from motorcycle superstore. The first Bridgestone went about 5000 miles like the Metzler but I can buy two of them for about the cost of a Metzler.

My understanding is that ya never want to run a radial in the front with a non-radial in the rear. I've been running radials in the rear with non-radial in the front. I will be running bridgestone in the rear with a dunlop up front for awhile untill I can find something that might be better. I hear that mitchelin has a tire with a harder compound in the center of the tire with a softer compound on the sides--would be the tire for me if I can find one that fits.

How many miles did you get out of the stock Dunlap’s? It sounds like you liked the ride on the 200 rear; so can I assume there was little or no difference in handling? Thanks.

i've got the cobra's....

all on the stock rimms..

200 on the rear rim, and 150 on the front rim....

these tire's should be the factory tyres... they are perfect and they look very cool...
