hey surreyguy... no need for cussin' and name callin'. the world is full of people who do that. No need for us to add to the noise. When I said Nightster bars, I meant the flat track style...
I've been searching the HD site for XL1000 bars and ca't find any...
I REALLY like the black and since I eventually want to paint my bike orange and black (for The Baltimore Orioles, NOT HD) black bars would be perfect.

Thanks everyone for posting pics. It's so awesome to see guys who love the FXD like I do posting pics of their setups!

I road my stock bars for a couple of weeks and the only thing I did was put on 4" risers. They feel real nice. I was told that the stock bars were not buck horns but I wouldn't know. My 1200C had mini apes and I liked them. But I wasn't going to pay the dealer mucho dinero for mini apes change out after I installed the risers.

I know what you mean about the buckhorns. No offense to anyone that likes them but they aren't for me.

I ended up putting these Kromewerks Stretched Bad Boy bars on with no cable change needed. They felt and rode great!

Hmmm...these bars may save me from having to get risers. They looked like a stretched version of my stock lowrider bars. How much pull back would you say you got with these bars? If they can bring my hand back an inch or 2 they'll be perfect.

You might have to give them a call for that info. I never did measure the pullback, height, etc. I pulled the bars back a little to fit my reach though.

I put nightster bars on my superglide just fine, the cables and everything was fine, but i was reaching too much and it was uncomfortable, now I put street bob bars on it and its perfect--had to change all the cables though.
