Default Clutch Bump

Hey all. I'm not quite sure if i have a problem - but i know this isnt normal. Okay - i'm about to take off from a complete stop and as i start moving forward, right before the clutch is released all the way (and i mean right before) i feel a solid bump. it is considerably more noticable when i'm riding two up. the dealer said i'm slipping the clutch. Well, i know that none of my other bikes have done that, or felt that way. i was just wondering if anyone has come across this, or knows what i should look at? Thanks in advance!

Don't know what your feeling, perhaps some stiction as the plates start to reach the same speed... what kind of primary fluid are you running, could it be contaminated? Have you ever over-slipped the clutch, perhaps putting a little glaze on a plate or two?

My clutch is smooth.

.... motor mounts loose?

it's not the motor mounts - it only happens in 1 gear. but you got a good point, i'll change my primary fluid tonight - just because it may help.

I"ve noticed it on my bike too. I think it is from slipping the clutch though. I can usually make it happen if I feather the clutch out too long while taking off. If I'm smoother and quicker with the release I don't have it happen. I run HD synthetic in the clutch and changed it about 3000 miles ago at the 1000 mile mark.

When my mount went bad only noticed it in 1st gear that is when you are applying the most torque
