For quickness sake (vs looking at previous threads), I suspect the SERT is the Screamin Eagle Race Tuner?
Would this be the same as a Screamin Eagle Super Tuner?
I just came accross one on the local Craigslist and am tempted.
I'm soon to be in the same boat by adding pipes and an air cleaner. Dealer told me all I needed was to have them reflash the ECU and that's it. If that's all you have done, things should be set to where they need to be. Consequently, if you don't do any other engine mods, what benefits would you gain by adding a PC or tuner? I honestly don't know, so that's why I'm asking....not trying to be a smart a$$.

Thanks....
The SEST is a newer version of the SERT. Both do about the same thing.
A re map is a one shot deal to your set up a tuner is adjustable .I am on my third set of pipes readjustment is needed with new plug wires. PS I went with Revtek digital fuel optimizer . Cobra is one name I have herd of for a self adjuster. as far as popping on decell I got rid of any slip on muffler systems and have one piece duel exaust NO more popping.

The flash that HD provides is still a EPA flash.
The Tuner and PC will make your bike run cooler, less wear on the engine. A tuner will also adjust the timing for less heat/more power. The motor should be smoother, more drivable, better throttle response. It will also likely have less mpg.
Significant difference.. I don't think so for us average everyday Joes, but perhaps more functional that a $350 piece of chrome (or blackout)
Spend $150 on a flash that is good enough only for your current config, or spend $500 on a decent self-tuner that you can adapt to any mod, or something in between. Tuff decision.

In my opinion, the Stg.1 download was not worth 150 bucks. I didn't realize how badly the bike shook with the Stg.1, till I loaded up and tuned it with the TTS.
Beware that if the interface module was used to program a bike (ECU), you can't use it to program another bike (ECU). It gets married magically and there is no divorce court. I think you can still use it to monitor sensors regardless.
I had a set of V&H Q Series Double Barrels installed, along with a Stage I SE/AC, and PCIII.......... then had them change the fuel ratio to run richer, and finally had the bike Dyno Tuned. Very, Very pleased with the entire set up. By having the bike run a little richer, It's reduced the insane HEAT I was getting on my right calf ( mid controls)....and I think it's going to help the engine in the long run. So, if you're going this route, might I suggest you richen up the mixture. .........The Damn EPA just have the 2007 and newer bikes running way too lean.
