Was wondering if anyone has changed out there stock 5 3/4 x 5" deep headlight on an 06 yet and what they may have found that worked good. I have seen some on wide glides that look good but i think the size needs to be shorter on the other dynas? THX mojo
Good Question...I didn't change my shell.. But, I did buy a PIAA Super Plasma GTX, I haven't installed it yet... I mounted two small driving lights below the headlight shell... I put them on hoping for more light at night... wrong....they were garbage... except during the day they help the cages to see me better... At least a couple of peeps told me they noticed me(told me that I had my lights on)..LOL I looked at some at www.headwinds.com they have some that look kinda trick...
I changed mine out for a Fat Boy 7 incher and put the dual beam lense in it too.
Here is a pic

Didn't change out the headlight on my Street Bob, just added a chrome trim ring, HD part #69623-99A. It really beefs up the appearance of the stock headlight -- and for only $30.
When hubby saw it, he bought the chrome trim ring with visor for his Wide glide, HD part #69735-05.
A major improvement and super easy! I'll take a couple of pictures and post them in the next day or so.
