I have been trolling around here for a while trying to decide which bike to get. Here is what I am looking at: 2004 Screamin' Eagle Deuce (Yellow and Silver) with 25k miles for $12,900 and a 2008 CVO Dyna (Red and Graphite) with 200 miles for $19,000. I am torn on the dollar amount. I can pay for either one, although that $19k is a nice chunk of change. In the past, I averaged about 5k miles a year on my bikes. What would you do?
I would go for the 2008 CVO Dyna. Just for the fact it has 200 miles a 110 ci motor and a 6 speed as compared to a bike with 25k a 103ci motor and 5 speed tranny.
Both are nice bikes but I do prefer the Dyna's handling over a Softail. Just my
I'd take the Dyna as well, but honestly...not a fan of it (too much chrome for my tastes)
I think the Deuce is one of the best looking soft tails out there, but the Dyna is a MUCH better buy, better parts, more technology....and a better color scheme.
um... I've heard of way to many problems with those new CVO 110" engines. I'd probably stay away from that motor just from all bad things I've read about it. But $19k is a DAMN good price for that 08!

True they have had problems, there were write-ups in American Iron detailing it. The question I have is are the problems affecting the Dyna line. It seems most of the complaints/issues center around the baggers. From what I read it was a heat related liner shift issue.
Unless I missed it I have not seen anyone bring it up in this section. Hell, if you're any good with a wrench you can stuff some aftermarket cylinders on there at the first sign of any problems and not worry about it again.
Get the Dyna..................................they're better than Softails.
