Default Exhaust/Baffle Question

I have an '06 superglide with Vance and Hines Straight Shot slip ons and want to know if removing the baffles is going to hurt anything in the motor? I keep hearing alot about the needed back-pressure and it can cause the rear cylinder to have problems. Just wondering what people on here think.

I personally would advise against it, the back pressure you hear so much about is what brings the torque in, too much back pressure will kill horse power, but the secret is finding the balance between the two. I removed the baffles from my Cobra Speedsters and cut about 2" off of each, welded the ends back on and reinstalled, I have not noticed any performance gains from this, but it was a test and only a test, if it had been and actual emergency this would of been followed be official instructions.

I've played around with different baffles and no baffles at all. You can try it, but you will notice a drop in torque and you probably won't like the sound.
