Years ago, before everyone trailered, I talked to a guy at a bar in Wyoming at Sturgis time during a rain squall, who had put forward controls on his Dyna, but had left the mid controls so he could shift and brake with either. Can't remember the details but shouldn't be tough to do.
I miss the days when there were lots of people besides me riding to Sturgis.
