Here's some crappy garage pics. of what I'm working with. The TH is kinda beat up but I only paid $130 w/shipping. It'll look alot better with some fresh paint and some wrap. I'm thinking about putting a .125" slit in the top of the header pipes then lifting on the collector until the slit is closed and then welding the slit. I think if I slit it in the right place I can get the collector to a position where it wont drag in cornors. Just want to say slit one more time......slit.
Got mine on today..no sweat at all! Took about 10 minutes!! I am sure that being stretched out on Adrian's bike helped..LOL..but they look great, sound great, and make my bike scream (with the PC V)

Yeah, when I first put them on, they were a b!tch to get on. But I took them on and off a few times, and each time seemed to have gotten a bit easier.

I'm really considering sending mine to JetHot to have it coated . Had I bought the one you did for that price , I definitely would . They quoted me at 300 dollars . That is for the platinum coating . Guaranteed to never turn color , and also to reduce the temp. of the pipe by 300 degrees !

I had a Thunderheader coated in the platinum color before...was a kick a** color & never turned! Damn 300 bucks sounds steep though?
It's a little more than the heat shields , that don't cover that much .
No doubt they don't cover much...they hide most the turning on the chrome ones though! I only had the primary shields on my platinum one just cause I already had the shields but I didn't need em...eventually I wrapped that pipe & it looked real f'n tuff but later took my bike apart to do what I really wanted to do to it which IMO needed a chrome Thunderheader! I think I have a pic of that platinum one in one of the albums...check it out!
