I was full of it, I just measuered both fenders and the difference in width was about 1/2 an inch. The Street Glide fender is just over 8 3/4 and the stock one was 8 1/4. So if the Wide Glide fender is the same as the Street Glide for width it should go.

The new sissy bar works on Fatbobs and the 2010 WG so that sounds like they are the same width to me other wise it would work on the older WG as well. Plus since they went with the 180 stock on it that would also suggest they widened it up. Even though the 180 fits in the other Dynas its a little tight for them to do stock.

Makes sense, off to the dealership tomorrow with my tape measure.
Thanks, CB

Per a salesman I spoke to today...he said they used the street bob fender on the '10 WG. So, who knows at this point.

Could get really creative and order a custom paint set of tins for a Fat Bob, and then bolt them on the new WG.
You'd get the bigger tank then, too.

most sales guys have no idea what they are talking about. the fender is not a street bob fender. you can make anything fit just depends on how far you want to go to do it. ask one of the guys who just bought one to measure the fender and distance between the fender struts and compare that to yours.

I went down to the dealer and measured the new WG fender and it it is about 1/2" or so wider than my 07' SB. Crap, I was hoping it was a bolt on deal. I want to eliminate the tail lamp and license plate, but I don't want to grind or hack up my frame rails so I will probably just work with my stock fender or look to the after market.

If it's only a 1/2 inch difference it would be the same as what I did. You only have to grind about an 1/8" at the rear of the struts. If you ever want to go back to the original fender you can shim it with a washer just like it is at the front.
