Default Difference in seats

Does anyone know what changes were made in the seat attachment points between the '04-'05 Dyna and the '06-07. model? I have a line on a Sundowner seat and have an "07 Street Bob. Don't have the oppertunity to test fit the new seat.

Anything different besides the years???

I'm pretty sure it wont fit because they changed angles between the seat mount (frame) and the fender. Not 100% though.

There seems to be a frame change in '06. Therefore newer model Dyna's you'll only be able to go back to '06 for seats.

I put the '09 Street Bob seat on my '05 FXDI ... when I matched up the rear fender bolt hole, the front of the seat rises at a little higher angle. I have a tie-down on the tank mount, but other than that it works okay. I am thinking of a way to fabricate a more permanent U-shaped bracket to mount on either side of the tank bolt and hold the saddle a little more firmly in place. Since the seat is bolted down in the rear, I am not worried about it going anywhere. As far as a 2-up ... not sure how that would work.

Here are the measurements of the seat mounting area on my 2003FXD and the FXDP solo seat. As far as I know there has been a change as of 2006 models. Just compare the measurements with your frame.

More differences than I thought. Front hook of the seat on 2" closer to the petrol tank, yours being 11.25, mine is 13.25. The rear seat screw hole is,also 2" longer at 18.25.
Thanks for the dimensions. It tells quite a lot.
