I eye-ball'd it using the cast-in measurements on the side of the container. I don't think it's all that critical whether you get egg-zackalally 26.6-oz. in, just equal amounts in each tube and don't overfill. I recommend you enlist help when removing and installing the tube caps; there's alot of spring force you're fighting (I'd guess about 70-lbs.). I had my bro holding the cap down with a large wooden dowel (heavy leather gloved hands), while I swung a 12" Crescent. Do one side at a time so the whole front doesn't collapse. As fine as those threads look, it doesn't take many turns before the cap is free...be prepared!

Round off the amount. Either put 26 or 27 oz. The more fork oil, the stiffer the suspension.

The SE heavy duty oil is either 10w or 15w fork oil. 99% sure it's 10w.

Lift the front off the ground and support it, that should help out with the spring unloading on you.

http://www.progressivesuspension.com...rings/3055.pdf Progressive springs displace more oil and it's best checked by the level from the top, with forks compressed.

I took a measuring glass from the wife's kitchen that has the little pour spout in it. A 2 cup (16oz) obviously wasn't enough, but that's some simple math...

I used Bel-Ray 15w Fork Oil from my local metric shop. It comes in a liter bottle and was more than enough to fill both sides. I believe the HD bottles are small and you'll need a few of em.

When I bought some a few months back, I needed 4 bottles from hd. 2 per side.

What did the drop-in install sheet say about that? Progressive should say what their kit requires.
