Default front fender removal

I just removed my front fender for a change. It's too late to go out for a ride tonight. What should I expect? I'm not that aggressive. Should I expect a totally sloppy ride or no big deal?

Had mine off for awhile after I added my chrome lowers, and before I elongated my fender holes so it would fit under the SE Fork Brace. My brace firmed up the front end, so I didn't experience any sloppiness [in handling]. Expect to eat alot of road crud, expect filthy pantlegs, and expect a filthy motor.

I don't think the front fender is strong enough to add any stability.

If you get caught in the rain, you'll probably wish it was there.

it absolutely adds no torsional strength to your front end. you can twist it in your hands.

Took mine off about a month ago (09 SB). Can't tell any difference EXCEPT first day, wet spot in road due to some yard sprinklers, 50 mph, keep yer mouth closed and glasses on. Wasn't that bad, but enough to convince me the fender IS functional. Going to keep it off for awhile.

Not a problem till it rains or you run over road patch If you like your bike clean it is going to need cleaning a lot more often

I've had mine off for two yrs now and have had no problems except with rain. The motor doesn't get any dirtier than it did with the fender on and the fender adds no torsional stability to the forks. The way my bike is set up, it looks dorky with it on, so I leave it off.

Just make sure you're not grinning if you hit a dead possum carcass at 60mph.
