Sunday night went to come home from work. Went to start bike and nothing when I hit start, everything went dead. Tried to push start and would not turn over.
Shop picked up the bike on monday, and called monday afternoon late and said it was not the battery. (dang it) Called today and they told me it would take a couple of days to find the short in the electrial wireing......
I can feel it now, this is going to cost out my a.......
I know how you feel (kind of) I went to star her up one night after work and just click click click click.
I ended up having to replace my stator... Dead short to ground.
I went to start my bike after work yesterday to go home and all it would do is flash the damn turn signal lights from the alarm going off. The battery was going dead in my fob and I never took the time to learn how to manually override the alarm with the turn signal buttons.
I finally got it to start and made it home. I then went and read up and practiced overriding the alarm manually.
Today when i got to work I swapped my crappy battery for a good one out of one of the computers at work we were gonna dispose of anyways(uses the same battery).
When I came home I tried starting it and it started right up.
I know this isn't the same problem you are having but I just wanted to say everyone should take the time to learn how to override the alarm system before they find themselves stranded like my dumbass almost did.
