Default exhaust opinion

I found an awesome website that sorts exhaust by model of bike. Prices seem good too.

http://gopartsdirect.com

I found the perfect exhuast that I am thinking of getting. I am picky, all I have seen are too short, wrong tips, too long etc. I like the way it covers the swingarm, axle bolt and slash down. I have an 06 lowrider. Do you guys think this make be too close to the controls? The picture is taken from a wideglide (forward controls). This is my first HD, and I do not take delivery for a few months.

How is Cobra? Any opinions?

I want to order the exhuast now. Beleive it or not, I do not even want to hear my new bike for the first time without a real exhuast! Below is a link for the one I am lookin at.

Thanks!

These look a lot like the V&H pipes that also look good on a Dyna. My first set of non-HD pipes were the Big Shot Staggered pipes which were a little shorter, but cleared the axle bolt so that I didn't have to fart around with the exhaust pipe every time the rear wheel came off for something. I thought they looked pretty good being a little shorter than the stock mufflers, but it's your choice, either way, they're better than stock. I've since replaced the BSS with a set of V&H Sideshots which give the bike a different look altogether.

Very similar to mine and you should have no problem with clearance.

I too found this company, GoPartsDirect and ordered D&D slipons for my '06 Glide, a month ago. The charged my credit card right away but I'm still waiting for the slipons. After a week and a half I called them and was told the end of the week. After the end of week came and went I called them again and was told in a week. That came and went. Called again and they said we have a tracking number here but it doesn't work, WTF? I started to ask about cancelling my order and the guy hung up on me! Called back and was told sorry there is 20 customer service people here and we don't know who it could have been. They finally sent me a tracking number and UPS says I'll have it by 6-3, over a month after ordering it. There was also no mention of a backorder. Funny, they had no problem charging my card right away but surely were not concerned about shipping it or keeping me informed. I went with them because of price. Just a word of caution about this company.

I also purchased my exhaust from them.
I placed my order in the middle of January
and did not receive it until 3 months later.
Their customer service sucks. If I had known
this before I ordered I would have paid more
from somewhere else. Try American Motor Classics.
They were really nice people to talk to over the phone.
I only wished I would have known about them first.

Just tell your credit card company, they are the ones with the real power, might be too late now but only a few weeks into it you could have avoided paying for them. That's why the guy hung up on you.

I had about the same experience. I waited 2 months for pipes that were backordered (not a big deal in and of itself, because everything for the 06's was backordered at the time, they just neglected to tell me they were backordered). I called several times but couldn't ever get anyone to tell me what was happening. Use Eastern Performance instead.
