Default Riding 2 up

My wife has been wanting me to give her a ride on the bike for awhile now and so far I have resisted. I'm around 240lbs and she is a whopping 185 herself. I'm concerned about the bikes handling with both of us on it. Any advice (besides a diet)

I don't know man, I weigh 150, and my wife is 105 or so. I am afraid I will need to bungee cord her a$$ down when I convince her to hop on. Not to get off topic, what king of pipes are those? You responded to my other post a little while ago about the Cobra exhaust.

I weigh 275 and the war dept. weighs 150. I didn't notice any problems, didn't even hurt the gas milage.

Screamin' Eagle Pro's. They still have them listed in the Screamin' Eagle catalog.

I weigh 175 and the little woman weights ?.

No problems with riding 2 up. Plenty of power - can't even tell performance-wise that there is a passenger.

Obvioulsy a difference in balancing, but no more than expected.

The bike will be fine, the only area of concern would be the passenger leaning the wrong way on corners. Take it easy for a while and all should be OK.

Just make sure you check the air pressure in the back tire and adjust the rear shocks stiffer for the ride so the tire will not bottom out.

What superdog said, put another 6-8 lbs in rear tire and adjust the preload on the shocks. As far as leaning, don't instruct her to lean or fight it, just to look over your shoulder on the side you are turning to.
