just wanted to take it off for a more stripped now custom look. one of a kind sort of deal.

good luck with that, just make sure that what ever you take off the bike doesn't result in a DOT violation.

DOT=Department of Transportation.

If you plan on keeping the bike, ditch the speedo. Just keep loose track of your trips on paper or something. There are plenty of people that run without a speedo and without front brakes for that matter. With all you are wanting to remove, how come you still have the belt guard?
