If that is the one you "keep coming back to" then it sounds like you found your bike

Just getting back into riding after a long time away. 2003 FXD is my first Harley. I think it is a great bike to break in with.

As everyone here has stated, best bang for the buck in the HD line. The FXDC is a great handling bike and can be customized in many different directsons, just check out the pics on this forum. Like Dank said, if it is the one you keep coming back to....

Mines an 05. I love this bike!! Had an 05 Nomad and an 06 FJR. This scoot handles great and is tons of fun to personalize. You'll not regret going with the FXDC. Geez

First thing first, get the Dyna. Money not being a factor, you should buy the bike you're going to grow-into not the bike you're going to out-grow. If you like all that chrome and can afford the difference in price, get the custom. It'll end up costing more in the long run to put all the chrome on yourself a little at a time. I have an '05 FXD. I'm not a big fan of the cookie cutter chromed out look, so I've gone in a slightly different direction.

Buy the custom if you like the chrome. Thats what I did and there isn't another bike I would rather have. My wife has a Sportster Custom and they are two completely different rides. Go with the dyna and you won't regret itl
