My sentiments exactly. I started out with a Superglide and no regrets. A friend at work started out on a Sporty, then I bought mine, then he traded for a Lowrider.

Thumbs up Buy A Dyna

Had some friends tell me to start out on a Sportster, I just keep thinking that if I do that I'll want a bigger bike so why not just start out with a bigger one. Anyone that has experience with the Custom I'd love to hear about it and if you like it, pro's vs cons....

Thanks.
Buy the Super Glide Custom and NOT a sportster because you WILL want a big twin like you said so just get it over with and don't waste your money on a sportster , the Super Glide Custom is an Excellent choice as with any Dyna !!

Dang straight ! J/K ! I have a very detailed eye, and I'm very picky about these sorts of things. The main reason I didn't buy the FXDC was because of the silver cases. To me it made the motor resemble a Honda too much ... not the bike, just the motor. So when I saw the new '10 I thought "dang ! I wish they did that last year ! "

+1 on the best bang for the buck. Custom the name just means you'll just want to keep on customizing. We love our 09 Super Glide Custom. Latest customizing was to gear it down with the 30T Andrews Pulley. Excellent mod!!!!
