Question Dumb FXDF Brake Question

Dumb question...but why does the Fat Bob have dual front brakes? No other Sporty, Dyna, or Softtail does... Is this purely an asthetic choice?

Man I wish my SB came with dual fronts, the single rotor sucks for stopping...

Look at the sport bikes, most will have dual front rotors for better stopping (reduces heat build up). Cost more $$ so not all bikes have them.

No clue why they gave it duals. In my readings they just mention Duals, and no reason why...

fat bob is supposed to be a good handler and if the bike is thrown around the curves harder, bigger brakes are good to have. The FB was also built to appeal to european riders who expect a bit more performance out of their bikes.Thats why as a ex-sportbiker,the fat bob appealed to me.

Duals vastly improve stopping power and also help the bike not to pull to one side during emergency stopping. Also I will mention that I will be changing my rear brake pads for the second time in 17000 miles wheras the front haven't budged even a micron.

And they do work well. Having gone from a high COG Sporty with a single rotor to the Fat Bob I was floored when I had the need to slam the breaks. Doing 40mph on a side street and a car pulls out less than 30 feet in front of me those brakes saved my life and a great deal of pain.

What he said +1,000 The only Harley I will EVER have ('cept for a genuine antique) is gonna have TWIN discs up front. Unless they come up with a single disc setup that actually has considerable braking force available from it.

They are very effective, but hate the way they hide the wheels
