So do you think it would work JRK, instead fo the 2" spacer, make a 6" or 8" spacer and throw on a drag bar?
I'm sure it would work but you may not like the angle of the pullback. The fixed bottom portion of the clamp on the upper tree is angled back towards the rider; you cant really tell with just the bars on there but its quite pronounced with the 2" riders (I have them on my bike) so with 8"ers I'd guess the bars would be back over top of the tank almost. You can see from my sig pic the angle they come off the trees......
Oh and btw they went on no problemo on my 08..... can't imagine it would be much differenct for the 09 with the exception being that you might have to lift the tank to get some additional slack in the wires.
