Thunderheader exhaust installation help!
I have a new set of Thunderheader pipe in hand, but don't know how to start?
read some post said that need new gasket, which doesn't come with the kit!!
the manual claimed that need to remove clutch release cover and 4 lower bearing housing bolts, what is that?????
what else does it need to complete this installation?
What tool do I need to put them on?

Go buy some new exhaust gaskets at your local hd dealer... ask them about the clutch release cover and housing bolts.
I didn't take off the clutch release cover... just loosened it a bit to get to the last of the four bolts on the housing unit(it hides behind where the clutch cable goes into the unit)... got mine on in about 30-45 min. It's not that hard... just have to jiggle and fiddle a bit to get it to fit.

There is a fair amount of chatter in this thread about the install of the T.H. Maybe you can glean some useful info from it.

Look towards the rear of the throttle side of your bike for the cover that says 6-speed...it might be a clue!

My 2-1 has a different bracket than the one that comes with the stock pipes...would imagine the same for these.

The clutch release cover is the one marked "SIX SPEED" on your bike.
You may want to buy a service manual for your bike.
Ball-end allen wrench is necessary to get in there and loosen those bolts.
Disassemble the brake rod from the controls so you can drop it down for some clearance. A small cotter pin will release the rod.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and buy a service manual. Read the TH install sheet and then refer to the service manual and look up what you do not understand or are not familiar with. This is the method I used. I also searched the dyna forum for anything related to Thunderheader. There are alot of helpful posts out there.
Good Luck!
