I have the HD bags 90369-06 installed by the local dealer. These should be removable but I have not figured out how to remove them yet. Anbody else have thse bag? If so any auggestion on how to remove?
I agree with Sammi in that I do not think yours are meant to be detachable. I just had a set of 79300-06 bags installed on my Bob and they are not quick detachable either, and they are quite similar to yours. I got them over the detachables because the dealer said mine held more than the detachables. Plus, I did not think I wanted quick detachable bags that could not be locked. I can see that I have to take the attachment bolt out to take these off. That will take a bit of dexterity because the same bolts hold the fender on and also the docking hardware I got for the quick detach luggage rack. Too bad the nut is inside the fender and the bolt head is in the bag so you cannot just take the nut off and remove the bags without disturbing the rest of it. I doubt that I want to run without the bags anyway but it is going to be hard to clean with them on.
I am sure a good machinist could make a solution to this problem. We just need bolts with nuts on each end. Plus, it would need some mechanism, such as a screwdriver slot in the end that is in the saddlebag so we could hold the bolt to keep it from coming unscrewed on the wrong end. I may look into this some more.
