Looks like a nice piece of equipment and I'm looking for some feedback, anyone have one? I posted this last night in the General section with zero replies. I take it no one has one...

Dakota Digital make all kinds of Speedo-tach combo's they work very well some come with a wire for an external shift light.Direct sunlight on the gauge makes the digital unit hard to see.Not to good on a tank mount, unless you ride at night a lot.
I have no trouble at all reading my Dakota in direct sunlight. Of course, the unit was on the bike when I bought it. No way in hell I'd spend what that thing costs. lol I'm actually considering selling my Dakota altogether in the future, because "I *don't* need a tach".
I just put a Tmax digital speedo on my 07 fatboy. I love the functions, mpg, head temp, etc. The biggest problem that I have with the unit is that is an led display and I cannot see it in the sunlight. I mean that it is virtually useless in the light. If I had to do it again, I would do it. Or wait until they offer the unit in an lcd display.
The last post about this item was back in '09. Has anybody got anything current to report? I'm thinking about looking into one of these for my Heritage. I understand they have upgraded them to program in your odometer reading at installation, and you can adjust the brightness of the display, both of which were earlier complaints. Lots of cool features, black or white face, not to wild about the orange & red display colors.
