I thought mine was vibrating more than it used to, really alot more but i wasn't sure if it was me or my numb hands and mirrors that where unusable.
I read on here awhile back that motor mounts might cause this so i went in and told them to check my motor mounts. Sure enough, mine needed adjustment (4500 miles). I'm not sure whether i was happier about the fact that it vibrates a whole lot less or i acted like i knew what i was talking about.
Anybody who thinks a Dyna vibrates excessively should live on a solid mount motor for a few weeks and 'man up'. It will reset your tolerance for vibration in short order. For me, my '06 is Dyna is like a revalation in smoothness but at the same time, I'd have no bones about buying another solid mount pan, shovel or EVO....in a heartbeat.
The procedure is to buy a Harley service manual. If it's anything like aligning a Wide Glide, you're best off reading the detailed descriptoin right from the source. Besides, the money you'll save by putting that manual to use in your garage will save you phat dollars in the long run, and get you on the road fast when something goes wrong minutes before a planned ride.
