I just bought a 1996 super glide its my first HARLEY and man am I happy. Like everyone thats new to harleys I must get acosstomed to all the little sounds that I here till I crack the thottle open. When I do that it sounds like heven. But being new to the HARLEY ownerss group I would like all the info I can get. Like the do's and dont's and just good info Thanks

had a 1996 fxd myself before the 06.still running strong at over 100k miles when traded it.just keep up on the maintence schedule and you will have a great bike if its anything like the one I had.The evo is agreat motor!I hope the twincam is just as good as a motor.

Keep up the maintainance, upgrade the suspension (I'm running Progressive Suspension front and rear), customize the looks so it's YOUR bike, then ride the be-atch like you stole 'er and never look back!
