I've been learning a lot about the EVO, after I bought my '86 last summer. What I really like about the EVO is the ease in understanding and working on them, and thousands of helpful brothers who are extremely knowledgeable in the finer details that are willing to help others.
I personally find it very interesting how many women have their own bike. I'm not sexist about the issue, actually just the opposite I can appreciate a women who can handle one on her own. There are so many demanding requirements to operating one of these BIG machines. I've had times that I've been challenged beyond my abilities when it comes to handling the bike under certain conditions.
Several aspects would be a real change when going for a ride with the wife on her own bike. My constant concern for her safety which would be "out of my control" would be on my mind all the time. Me personally I like riding alone, which even with the wife aboard my bike means no constant co-coordinating the finer points of planning out a ride and need for moment by moment awareness of another vehicle.
