Default First mod- New pegs pics

I changed out my footpegs and shift peg to a set of ART Style knock offs I found on ebay. The pegs went on easy but I had to drill out the shifter a bit to get the peg to work since the threads didn't match up. Thanks to the guys who responded to my previous post.

Nice job, ryderbiker! Now that I see the photo I understand why the shifter peg's threads didn't match up with the front of the shifter lever: the H-D shifter pegs (and obviously also the threaded chrome shifter lever) have 5/16-24 threads! When I first responded to your question in the other thread, I was under the impression that you needed the specs of the bolt used to fix the shifter lever to the shifter rod that comes out of the primary. Sorry for misunderstanding you and giving you the wrong info!

Bwaaaahahaha! It always starts out simple, but before you know it you'll be bolting on the new Ramjet Turbocharged AC, 2 into 4 into 1 exhaust, 245 inch heads, 142 tooth sprocket. And you thought swine flu was bad. Welcome to the afflicted!

And nice job on the pegs!

Nice...how do they feel in comparison to stock? More or less comfort and control?

I thought my feet wouldn't slide around with the knurling but it feels like I have to constantly reposition my right foot. I haven't rode it since I did the shifter though. I still have to do the grips. They're a little slimmer than the stock grips and I'm looking forward to not feeling like I have a beer can in my hand when I ride.

Very cool! What size bolt did you end up going with on the shifter peg?

I used a 1 1/2" 5/16 button cap screw. I need a 1 1/4", which I couldn't find, so I just cut a little off the screw and it threaded right in. I'm going to do the brake side like Last Saint did.
