I ran a windshield last winter from Oct. to Feb when I put my new bars on and never put the windshield back on. After removing it though I realized how much nicer a riding jacket would be vs just a regular leather jacket. My coat was like a parachute but I suffered through the last couple cold months figuring I might find a deal this summer.
Found a couple decent deals through the summer checking several dealers but nothing great on a coat I liked. Got a text from a buddy today that had a Harley a couple years ago asking if I was interested in a coat he only wore once.
So got me a Like new FXRG Leather coat with Body Armor and Kidney belt for $300.
Sorry for long post just kind of glad I waited to buy one all summer.
You got a good deal, that is a nice jacket. I'd wanted one for a long time but while I was trying to find one at a price I could live with, I found a barely used FXRG in nylon. Say what you want about HD clothes, but most are well made.
If you want your jacket to stop ballooning, you have to have some vents installed just behind the armpits to let the air out. The first thing I did when I got my jacket was take it to the boot shop and have him make some modifications. No ballooning ever for me now.

I'm sure you'll like this leather jacket. I bought myself a new Willie G ltd ed jacket (see attachement) two years ago (Zylstra H-D auction @ Ebay). It has the front vent zips as well and has offered me a lot of riding comfort in the wet and cold Low Lands climate
Good looking jacket! I bought one from Jammin Leather a few years ago. Had a zip out liner, vented. Was versatile and very inexpensive. Great jacket until the zipper takes a ****.
Usually not a big deal but... I'm in the Rocky Mountains at 11,300 feet and it's starting to snow!
