I see what your sayin bout havin the extra lights. What I wanted to do is side mount the plate and take the brake light out altogether. Maybe I would consider getting a side mount plate with the brake light in it. Nice bike tommay!!

I did this a couple of weeks ago. Sorry no pics yet.
This is one mod. that wasn't easy or fun, it took the better
part of a Saturday to complete.The biggest problem you will
run into is the rear plug in for your turn signals. I actually used
the module from the stock brake light housing. Without typing a
couple of pages I would be happy to explain this in detail if you
would like to phone me. PM me and I will give you my number.
