alternative saddle bag supports
if any of you guys are looking for saddle bag supports for throw overs you could try this as an alternative.
my wife has a 97 sporty hugger and she has just had a custom job done on it ,in the process the standard sporty bag supports were taken off and not put back on as the rear fender and struts were altered so they dont fit any more.i got the supports and offered them up to my 06 bob and they wernt to far of fitting just a little narrow at the fixing points. eg they bolt on the end of the shocker and the bolt in the centre of the fender strut.i just opened them up (bent them open a little more) with my hands to the correct centres and got longer bolts for the shockers and struts and they fit perfectly. it takes maybe 10 minutes to put them on or change back . i dont have bags on that often maybe twice a year so this is ideal for me.sorry i cant post pictures but they look ok as they protect the shockers as well as stopping anything touching my rotar/belt guard etc. the bonus for me is that by doing this i dont have to re locate the rear signals also.
