Thats what I thought. I figured the longer housing would not look right until I seen it mounted on your bike. I guess I will go with the 5 3/4".

Ya I dont like them pushed out but I was able to use the mount that came with my light. They said I would need a mount that pushed it out some but I was able to make it work to keep it tucked in closer. Just had to take some slack out of the wires coming through the triple tree so they didnt hit the light. Its close to the neck but doesnt hit it.

I just replaced my 5 3/4" with another, due to the fact I could not get the retaining rings out to replace the bulb without damaging it. Retaining rings wouldn't budge for nothing.

So, I got a "bikers choice" from Demons Cycle... I know, I know, bad dealer, but I didn't know about their rep until a few days after the order. Nevertheless, it was 92 bucks shipped and it came within a week. No problems.
I did not order from their ebay site but the main site. Looks just like the cobra, hell, it's probably the same exact one.

Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend you take the retaining rings (2 of them) out before you mount it. Then brush a coating of anti-seize in the threads.

When I took my replacement light apart, there was a bunch of hardend gunk in the threads. I swear it looked like blue locktite! Had to use a pointy awl to scrape it out of the threads. Then finished up with non-chlorinated brake cleaner.
The rings are hard enough to get out when new, I'm hoping the anti-seize will do it's job comes time a bulb burns out.
Just thought I'd pass on the tip.

I’ve got the 5 ¾ Harley Bullet….found it on Ebay for $200 brand new!

I really like mine. I don’t know that it really goes with the ‘bobber’ style, but I think it looks pretty nice. I do think it balances out well with that tail light on the ’09 bikes…..
