I'm changing my rear shocks to Progressive 412's. I do not have a bike lift or jack. Any advice? Clymer manual says to get the rear wheel of the ground???!!!
Thanks
If you are going to do much of anything yourself, you will need a jack. Go ahead and get one. It will make changing shocks so much easier. I recommmend J&S.

+1 on the J&S! But if you need something just to get the rear wheel of the ground, and don't want to spend too much money: $20 Bike Lift. Cheap and cheerful and does the trick.
